For the 10th story of Zaikaana we bring to you the story of a passionate teacher whose dedication to music and teaching is infectious. Her students range from 5 to 50 years old and there is a waiting list of 2 years for new admissions. (Prawn curry with Cauliflower and Potato)

Aloo Phoolkopi Chingri-maachher jhol (Prawn curry with Cauliflower and Potato):

Medium sized prawns ( cleaned,and marinated with Turmeric powder and salt for 10 mins ) 500 gms
Cauliflower ,cut into medium sized florets 500 gms
2 Potatoes cut into wedges
Gravy paste made by grinding together :
2 Onions
2 Tomatoes
Turmeric powder (Haldi)
Whole spices : bay leaf , Big and Small Cardamom, Cinnamon , Clove, Red Chilly
Mustard Oil
Salt, Sugar
Aloo phulkobir chingrir curry prawn  zaikaana Zaikaana

1. Mild fry prawns , cauliflower and potatoes separately and keep aside. 2. Heat mustard oil and fry the whole spices . Add the gravy paste and fry till nicely done. Stir occasionally.
3. Add the prawn, cauliflower ,potato ,Haldi ,Salt and Sugar . Stir well and add water.
4. Cover and cook.
5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed Rice.
